We haven’t updated this blog for a while, but there’s plenty going on! Here are some updates from the band that you will surely enjoy.
First, La506.com is running a special series of interviews with renowned Costa Rican drummers. Check out the extensive interview the did with our very own Norman Mena. They discuss his influences, playing style, gear, and many other interesting aspects of being a drummer.
Also, the first show of many to come this year is now scheduled. We will be playing at Jazz Café in Escazú with Sight of Emptiness and Whitfield Crane of Ugly Kid Joe. Tickets are already on sale at Tiendas Insomnio. This is a joint effort by two of the most groundbreaking, upcoming bands in the country, both with amazing brand new music. It’ll be an unforgettable, so don’t miss it: Saturday, July 10th, 8pm.
Finally, our upcoming album Anomaly is coming out of the presses as we speak, and it’ll be in our hand in no time! We’re hard at work planning the upcoming national and international tours, as well as our album launch activities. We’ll keep you posted, but there’s lot of great stuff coming your way.
Here’s a playlist we’ve put together with all videos from the show we’ve found on YouTube. There are 3 so far, but we hope we add more as we find them. Please let us know if you know of any videos we haven’t included, even from other video sites!
There is a lot of press and different links going around, and you can keep track of those on our Twitter and Facebook. This one in particular is worth sharing. Our friend Ronald Reyes took these awesome pictures of the show:
It’s confirmed, the presentation of the Dethroned music video will happen Wednesday, March 10th, at Latino Rock Café in La California. The event is free to enter for everyone. We will be presenting the video and all the exciting stuff that has been happening around the website and the Metallica concert.
Here’s the flier we’ll be handing out today at the concert lines (click for full size):
One of the greatest of honors has been bestowed onto us. We will be opening the Metallica / Mastodon concert to be held tomorrow night at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in San José, Costa Rica, part of Metallica’s World Magnetic Tour. We still can’t believe it, but we’re taking this very seriously.
We have been working around the clock rehearsing, setting up our website (plus Facebook and Twitter), finishing our album artwork, and planning future events.
Rehearsals were finished last night and the band is sounding better than ever. We think the audience is in for a very big surprise; this is truly a presentation worth the bands following us.
The set list for tomorrow will be:
- Control
- Crazed Apocalyptic Wave
- 90 Million Seconds
- Dethroned
For a total of 20 minutes on stage. All songs are part of our upcoming album Anomaly.
We already have a date for our video launch for Dethroned. It will happen next Wednesday, March 10th, at Latino Rock Cafe. More details will be posted soon.
These are extremely exciting times for us! We’d like to extend a big THANK YOU to all the fans that have stuck with us throughout the years. It’s because of you that we are where we are right now.
See you tomorrow!
