Here are some great articles covering the launch of Anomaly:

There’s still one more listening party to go! I you want to listen to the full album before you buy it, this is your chance. Remember: Saturday, Acid Bar, Tibás, 9pm.

Anomaly is here!

We have a series of launch parties already scheduled, starting July 15th. Here are the details:

  • July 15th, 9pm, Bar La Esquina in La California.
  • July 16th, 3pm, Tienda Insomnio, Mall San Pedro.
  • July 17th, 9pm, Acid Bar, Tibás.

These aren’t concerts, but we will be announcing some very soon. In the meantime, don’t miss these parties to listen to Anomaly and be one of the very first to have it!

Update: we’ve also made a new track from Anomaly available on our music page. The song is Crazed Apocalyptic Wave. Enjoy!

We haven’t updated this blog for a while, but there’s plenty going on! Here are some updates from the band that you will surely enjoy.

First, La506.com is running a special series of interviews with renowned Costa Rican drummers. Check out the extensive interview the did with our very own Norman Mena. They discuss his influences, playing style, gear, and many other interesting aspects of being a drummer.

Also, the first show of many to come this year is now scheduled. We will be playing at Jazz Café in Escazú with Sight of Emptiness and Whitfield Crane of Ugly Kid Joe. Tickets are already on sale at Tiendas Insomnio. This is a joint effort by two of the most groundbreaking, upcoming bands in the country, both with amazing brand new music. It’ll be an unforgettable, so don’t miss it: Saturday, July 10th, 8pm.

Sight of Emptiness - Whitfield Crane - PneumaFinally, our upcoming album Anomaly is coming out of the presses as we speak, and it’ll be in our hand in no time! We’re hard at work planning the upcoming national and international tours, as well as our album launch activities. We’ll keep you posted, but there’s lot of great stuff coming your way.

Pneuma continues to expand on the net and appear on TV and radio, and we’re doing our best to keep you updated. Here are some exciting news we have from various sources:

We’re also the Artist of the Month in a progressive rock program which airs on UCR Canal 15, Costa Rica. A different interview with Tony and Daniel will be shown every Wednesday night and clips from our presentation at the World Magnetic tour will be shown. Show times will be updated here.

Anomaly is still being mixed and mastered, but most of it is already in its final stages, and we can tell you it’s gonna kick ass! We expect it to be done sometime this month, and we will be making it available shortly thereafter.

More news coming soon!

Update: sadly, the concert was canceled due to technical difficulties setting up the stage. We hope this doesn’t damage the great image Costa Rica has been building up with high-profile concerts like Iron Maiden and Metallica.

We received really good news today!

The Costa Rican band Diesel has been selected as one of the opening acts for the Guns N’ Roses concert to be held on April 9th, at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa. The other opening acts will be Ghandi and Akasha, also local.

Diesel has been very successful locally, exclusively playing hard rock and heavy metal classics from the likes of Metallica, AC/DC, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam. Pneuma’s Tony Masís and Daniel Vega are also members of Diesel, and we wish them all the best of luck.
